CLASSES AT THE PEOPLE'S CONSERVATORY
Fostering the next generation of culture keepers

The People’s Conservatory in Oakland trains young artist explorers, with a dedicated focus on brown and black youth from marginalized and economically blighted communities, to envision and create a humane and just world through their art.
FAI supports this mission through free flamenco dance classes taught by Marina Elana, with workshops and master classes taught by visiting artists from Spain. Through collaboration, our goal is to amplify students’ inherent artistic voices and foster the next generation of culture keepers.
